- The Los Angeles Lakers will be shorted handed again tonight against the Phoenix Suns. Reports coming out today that Kobe Bryant will miss his 2nd consecutive game due to his sprained ankle. The Lakers will also be without Pau Gasol who experienced a setback in his recovery from his injured foot.
- The Lakers have won the last 2 games without Kobe Bryant for all of one quarter. Steve Nash, Antawn Jamison and Steve Blake have been stepping up in Kobe’s absence. In Sunday’s win against the Sacramento Kings, Steve Nash had 19 points and 12 assists, Jamison led the team with 27 points and Steve Blake added 16 off the bench.
