  • The Lakers have lost 2 of the last 3 games since acuiring Ramon Sessions from Cleveland at the trade deadline.
  • Lamar Odom will face his former team for the 2nd time this season. In the teams last match up Lamar Odom did not play due to being out for personal reasons.
  • Dallas comes in on a 4 game winning streak and just 1 1/2 games behind the Lakers in the Western conference standings.
  • Dirk Nowitzki is coming of a 33 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assist game in a win at Denver Monday night.
  • The Lakers were swept in 4 games by the Dallas Mavericks in last years Western conference semi finals. The Mavs and Lakers have made numerous roster changes since the playoffs last season, including Odom swapping jerseys of the 2 teams.
  • Shawn Marion, who does a good defensive job on Kobe, has missed the last 2 games due to injury and his status for todays game has not been released.
