Day counter till Mike Brown starts Sessions: Day 6

Hans Gutknecht/Staff Photographer

Ramon Sessions was acquired via trade from the Cleveland Cavilers on Thursday, March 15, 2012. With the acquisition, the Lakers had finally filled the void of a quick penetrating guard that they haven’t had since the days of Nick Van Exel. However, to many fans’ and analysts’ surprise Mike Brown stated in an interview with reporters that he doesn’t have any immediate plans to start Sessions and that Steve Blake will remain the starter for the “foreseeable future”.

In just 3 games since Sessions has been on the Lakers it has been blatantly clear who the best player on the court is at the point guard position. The team plays quicker, actually scores easy baskets in transition and points are manufactured from the point guard position in half court sets.

Taking all of the evidence into consideration, it should just be a matter of time before Mike Brown decides to make the move of starting his best player at the point guard position. Raining3s.com will track how long this will take.
