Lakers Take Forward Ryan Kelly in NBA Draft

Los Angeles Lakers Draft Duke Forward Ryan Kelly

The Los Angeles Lakers took Duke Forward Ryan Kelly with their 48th pick  in the 2nd round of the 2013 NBA Draft. Kelly is a 6’11, 230 pound power forward that can knock down the outside shot. Kelly will fit in perfectly as a stretch 4 in D’Antoni ‘s style offense. Kelly will struggle guarding his position in the league due to his lack of strength and athleticism, but should have a great shot at making the Lakers squad due to his offensive skills, great work ethic and high basketball IQ.

The Lakers did not have a 1st round pick in this year’s draft as it was traded to the Phoenix Suns in the Steve Nash trade last off-season.
