The trading deadline is fast approaching and the Los Angeles Lakers will be involved in numerous trade rumors from now till Thursday at 3pm Eastern time. Here are the most recent Lakers’ trade rumors thus far from the reputable media sources:
Update 9pm, Pacific Time, 2/19 – Officially announced trade
Steve Blake traded to the Golden State Warriors for guards Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks.
Trade Rumors:
Jordan Hill to the New Jersey Nets:
Hill, 26, has never been a favorite of Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni and struggled to find minutes in his system. It is doubtful that Hill would re-sign with the Lakers as a free-agent this summer with D’Antoni still the coach, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Update from Sporting news, 3:10 pm:
Sources: Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov OKs deal for Jordan Hill
Sean Deveney of Sporting News reports that Nets owners, Mikhail Prokhorov, approves the deal to acquire Jordan Hill from the Lakers, but no word if that is a deal that the Lakers are in agreement to complete.
Nets are not the only team in the mix for Hill, per Kevin Ding and his sources:
Charlotte Bobcats interested in Pau Gasol
The Charlotte Bobcats have been in contact with the Los Angeles Lakers concerning veteran big man Pau Gasol, but a source familiar with the discussion downplayed the likelihood Gasol would end up a Bobcat by Thursday’s NBA trade deadline. Gasol makes over $19 million in this, the final season of his current contract. Superstar Kobe Bryant is hurt and the Lakers have fallen out of the Western Conference playoff race, so getting something for Gasol – like a first-round pick – is something the Lakers have explored. – Charlotte Observer

Steve Blake to the Golden State Warriors
There is not much to any of these rumors at the moment, it appears, but as we get closer to Thursday’s deadline it will be begin to heat up and what might seem like a trade that is dead in the water, might be resuscitated.
