Kobe Bryant returned to practice today and based on the photo taken by former NBA assistant coach, Dave Miller, he looks like he’s returning to form. The photo shows Kobe getting a step on Jodie Meeks and driving to the hole where he finds Robert Sacre protecting the rim. Kobe ends up feeding a cutting Jordan Hill for a lay up on the play.

A photo tweeted by the Lakers official twitter account shows Kobe Bryant using a Pau Gasol screen to shed a chasing Jodie Meeks.
The reports from Lakers beat writers that were at the practice today stated that Kobe was mainly in facilitator mode and not looking for his shot. All indications is that Kobe Bryant was moving well and not favoring his Achilles.
The most positive sign from today’s practice is described in a tweet by Lakers beat writer Mike Trudell.
How Kobe looks and feels after a week of practice will likely determine when he will return. Based on the early reports from practice today a return for Friday night’s game in Sacramento is very likely. Stay tuned.
