The NBA announced on Friday the players of the month in each conference for the month of February. Lebron James of the Miami Heat earned the player of the month for the eastern conference for the 4th straight month. James averaged 29.7 points, 7.8 assists, 7.5 rebounds and shot 65.1% from the field in the month of February. The Miami Heat posted a 12 and 1 record in February and are currently on a 13 game winning streak.
Kobe Bryant earned the player of the month honors for the Western Conference. Kobe Bryant averaged 23.9 points, 6.6 assists, 6.7 rebounds and shot 48.9% from the field. Kobe picked up his scoring dramatically towards the end of the month, averaging 35 points per game in the last 4 games. The Lakers went 3-1 in the final 4 games and 9 and 4 overall for the month of February.
