- Lakers come in to tonight’s game feeling deflated after blowing a 13 point lead to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. The Lakers lost to the Suns, 92-86.
- Dwight Howard will not play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to aggravating his shoulder injury after he was hit on the hands by Shannon Brown in Wednesday’s game. Dwight is flying out to Los Angeles to have the platelet rich plasma therapy performed on his right shoulder, it was announced by the Lakers. The procedure is the same as the one that Kobe had performed on his knees a few seasons ago. Dwight Howard is expected to return to the team in time for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
- Since Kevin Love’s injury that he suffered against the Denver Nuggets on January 3rd, the Timberwolves are a woeful 2-11. The Wolves have lost their last 5 games.
