Utah Jazz: 23-19, 7th in the Western Conference

Record vs. each other (2012-13 season): Utah Jazz 2-0 vs. Lakers this season

  • Lakers’ struggles have hit a season low; the scary part is that with 40 games remaining there is still more room to fall down further. The Lakers have lost 4 in a row, 10 of their last 12 games and have fallen to the 12th spot in the Western Conference. The only bright spot is that they are just 4 games behind Portland for the final playoff spot.
  • Dwight Howard, who re-injured his shoulder in the previous game against the Memphis Grizzlies, will play and be in the starting line up for tonights game.
  • It is puzzling how the Lakers are favored in tonight’s game as the Jazz come in to tonight’s game having won 4 in a row and are 2 and 0 against the Lakers this season. The Jazz beat the Lakers in their last match up on December 9th in Los Angeles, 117-110.
