Once Mike D’Antoni was hired to replace Mike Brown as the Los Angeles Lakers head coach there were some questions as to Pau Gasol’s ability to fit into the 7 seconds less style offense that would be implemented. At least based on the last 2 games, it appears that Gasol is going to fit in just fine.
Pau Gasol’s line in last night’s win against the Portland Trailblazers was 15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assist and 3 blocks. Pau is starting to assimilate to Mike D’Antoni’s offense by increasing his range as proof by his 2nd straight game with knocking down 2 three pointers.
Kobe Bryant added 27 points which ends his streak of consecutive games of scoring 30 or more to 10 games.
Dwight Howard was solid with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.
The Lakers were in control the entire game and never trailed. The Lakers got their lead up to as much as 27.
The Lakers next game is on Tuesday at home against the Philadelphia 76ers.
