The Los Angeles Lakers got down by as many as 22 points against the Utah Jazz on Sunday but charged back in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Jazz by 23 points in the 2nd half and winning 98-91 for their 2nd win of the preseason.  Continue reading

Kobe scores 27 in Lakers 119-86 loss to Jazz

Kobe Bryant is slowing showing signs of returning to form, showing aggression offensively in last night’s game versus the Jazz, on his way to scoring a game high 27 points which included 13 trips to the line. Bryant’s offensive performance was not enough as the Lakers lose their 3rd in a row in preseason, falling to the Jazz 119-86.  Continue reading

In his heyday as an NBA guard, Byron Scott was one of the best outside shooters in the league. In his 14 years in the NBA Scott shot a career 37 percent from the 3 point line which includes the 1984-85 season where he led the league in accuracy from deep, shooting 43.3 percent. Continue reading

Lakers demolished by Warriors again, lose 116-75

We are only 3 games into the preseason but much of what we’ve seen from this year’s Lakers squad is eerily similar to last season, at least on the defensive end. The Lakers gave up 116 points on 56 percent shooting from the field; 100 of those points were scored by the end of the 3rd quarter, on their way to the Lakers getting demolished again by the Golden State Warriors, 116-75.   Continue reading
