Mercifully, the Los Angeles Lakers’ dreadful season is nearing its end. The Lakers lost yet another game on Wednesday night, a 119-101 defeat to the Denver Nuggets on the road which makes it their 58th loss on the season, already the most losses in franchise history.
The Los Angeles Lakers are closing out yet another horrible season, on pace to break the franchise record for the worst record since their time in Los Angeles which spans 55 years and they’ll do so just one season after setting that same mark under coach Mike D’Antoni who led the team to a then franchise worst 27-55 record. The short-handed Los Angeles Lakers gave the Golden State Warriors a fight at Oracle Arena on Monday night; in the end losing 108-105, but surprising considering this was the NBA’s best team, record-wise, playing in a place where the Warriors have lost only 2 times out of 32 tries this season, the best home record in the NBA. The elation the Lakers felt last night after beating the very respectable 32-26 Milwaukee Bucks for their 3rd win in a row, tying their longest winning streak of the season, was incredibly satisfying; that’s if you’re one of the few that actually get to suit up in the Purple and Gold uniform.
