Blazers’ Lillard big again in 106-94 defeat of Lakers

He’s just 24 years old and in his 3rd year but Damian Lillard has already established himself as one of the premier players in the this league and quite possibly a top 3 player at his position. Tarik Black bursts onto the scene in Lakers 101-84 victory over Magic

The Los Angeles Lakers picked up rookie center Tarik Black off waivers after the Houston Rockets had to let him go in order to open up a roster spot to pick up Josh Smith. Lakers can’t contain Lillard who scores 39 in Blazers’ 98-94 win

The Portland Trailblazers had a superstar performance from their young, All-Star point guard on Monday which proved to be too much for the Los Angeles Lakers who were without their superstar, Kobe Bryant, who sat out to rest. Damian Lillard scored 39 points which included the basket that put the Blazers up for good in the 4th quarter. Kobe hits game winning shot versus Pacers. Lakers win 88-87

Kobe Bryant has turned to more of a facilitator since he returned 4 games ago after taking some time off to rest his tired body, but in crunch time and with the game on the line he is still his same old aggressive self, as he was on Sunday night when he returned in the 4th quarter with 5:54 to play and the Lakers down 77-74. Lakers again come close to beating Grizzlies, but fall 109-106

The Los Angeles Lakers have come close to winning all 3 games they have faced the Memphis Grizzlies this season, but as in Friday night’s match-up they fall just short.
