As the the Los Angeles Lakers’ season continues to plummet towards the bottom of the NBA standings, the same landing spot of the last three seasons, those “big” free agent signings from this past off-season are starting to look worse which is saying something since most thought they were pretty awful at the time those signings were announced, including this guy.

The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a surprising 4 and 3 start to the season and they have done it in part by moving at an accelerated rate to the point of leading the league in pace (105.3 possessions per game*). The Lakers are even topping the team most known in the league for pace, the Golden State Warriors who rank 2nd in the league.
The Los Angeles Lakers wrapped up their preseason Friday night in Anaheim where they lost to the Phoenix Suns 98-94. The loss is the Lakers’ 5th in a row and drops their record in the preseason to 2-6. The Lakers now shift their focus to the regular season which starts on Wednesday (10/26) at Staples Center against the Houston Rockets.
