Kobe Bryant hashed things out with rookie Larry Nance Jr. some time after he was taken with the 27th pick on Thursday and Saturday night where he conducted an interview with ESPN.
Bryant told ESPN of his response to Nance Jr. after the rookie reached out to him via text to apologize for the offensive tweet he posted about Kobe 3 years ago, “Dude, listen. We’ve all said things and done things that we regret and wish we could take back. It’s water under the bridge, man. Welcome to the team.”
It appears Kobe is ready to put this matter behind him. When asked if there is any additional discussion necessary on the matter outside of their text exchange he replied, “there’s no need”. That is great news for Nance Jr. who can move on from this uncomfortable situation and focus on actual important matters like basketball.
