The Los Angeles Clippers had no answer for Marc Gasol who scored 30 points and added 12 rebounds in the 107-91 win for the Grizzlies.

This was Gasol’s 2nd game in row where he reached at least the 30 point mark which is first in his career.

“I don’t know if he has been on a good diet, but he looks great and is playing great,” Coach Doc Rivers said after the game. “The Grizzlies seem to have that edge. They aren’t messing around.”

The Clippers could not get it together offensively, shooting a subpar 41.6 percent from the field and 28 percent from 3.

Blake Griffin had a tough night, shooting 5 for 17 from the field and finishing with 12 points which is well below his season average of 22.

Chris Paul attempted to get his club back in the game in the 3rd quarter where he scored 13 of his team high 22 points.

JJ Redick scored 15 points and Jamal Crawford chipped in 19 off the bench. DeAndre Jordan got in foul trouble early and finished with 2 points and 3 rebounds in just 20 minutes of play.

The 16 spread in the final score is not indicative of the competitiveness of the game as the Grizzlies led for the majority of the game and as many as 25 points in the 4th quarter.

The Grizzlies had 6 players finish in double-figures: Gasol 30, Courtney Lee 13, Tony Allen 12, Beno Udrih 11, Quincy Pondexter 11 and Zach Randolph with 10.

The loss bring the Clippers record to 7-5 and drops them to a tie in 9th place with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Clippers play the Charlotte Hornets on Monday for their 2nd game on back-to-back nights.
