The Los Angeles Lakers were a few seconds from evening up their preseason record to .500 before Ray McCallum of the Sacramento Kings tipped in the game winning shot at the buzzer. The Kings beat the Lakers 93-92 Friday night in Las Vegas.
Jeremy Lin had another strong showing, scoring a team high 19 points and ending with 7 assists coming off the bench. Starting point guard, Ronnie Price, knocked knees with Darren Collison early in the first quarter and did not return with was reported as a sore knee.
Julius Randle also put on a show with his dribbling and driving exhibition. Randle had a few impressive drives and finishes around the basket that gave the Vegas crowd a thrill. Randle finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Ed Davis started in place of an injured Jordan Hill and ended with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
The loss put the Lakers final preseason record at 3-5. The Lakers open up the regular season on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets at Staples Center.
