The Los Angeles Clippers are off to a rough start this season, losing again, 104-93 to the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. The loss brings the Clippers record in preseason to 1-4.

The Clippers ended the first half tied at 51 but the Nuggets pulled away in the 3rd where they outscored the Clips by 10. The Clippers were never able to close the gap enough to threaten the Nuggets in the 4th quarter.

A positive from preseason is that Blake Griffin has looked great; Saturday night he scored a game high 27 points. Jamal Crawford hit 4 3-pointers, totaling 23 total points on the night.

The rotating door at the Clippers’ starting small forward spot continued, this time Joe Ingles getting the nod. Ingles only played 18 minutes, went 0-2 from the field, finished with 3 points and 3 rebounds. Reggie Bullock, Matt Barnes, Chris Douglas-Roberts and now Ingles have all had a shot at starting at the 3 this preseason.

Kenneth Faried led the Nuggets in scoring with 19 points and also pulled down 7 rebounds. Aaron Afflalo scored 16 points and Randy Foye came off the bench to score 14 points.

The Clippers will get a 2nd look at the Golden State Warriors this preseason on Tuesday in Oakland.
