Newcomer Spencer Hawes and Jamal Crawford come up big off the bench against the Jazz on Friday, scoring 24 and 25 respectively. The Clippers beat the Jazz, 101-97, getting their first win of the preseason.

Jamal Crawford hit a huge 3-pointer with 18.5 seconds to play that broke a tie and put the Clippers up 98-95.

Blake Griffin had a few of his typical highlight reel dunks in the game but overall had a substandard game by his own standards, finishing with 17 points and 4 rebounds in 31 minutes. DeAndre Jordan looked more like the player from last year that led the league in rebounding, bringing in a game high 17 on the night.

Gordon Hayward of the Jazz continues his great play this preseason, scoring 22 points which includes a perfect 12 for 12 from the line; Hayward also had 6 steals in the game.

The Clippers’ next game is Saturday against the Denver Nuggets in Las Vegas, NV.
