The NBA will announce a new TV rights deal with ESPN, ABC and the Turner Broadcasting network on Monday that is reported to be in the amount of 24 billion dollars and will run through the 2024-25 season.

The new deal will eclipse the current 7.4 billion dollar deal that the NBA signed with the same TV partners in 2008 and continues the ascending trend since its TV rights deal in 1990.

The massive TV deal will lead to a considerable rise in both the salary cap for NBA teams and the maximum amount for individual player contracts. Once the NBA announces the particulars of the new deal on Monday we’ll be able to get a better idea as to just how high both those figures will rise following the 2015-16 when the current TV rights deal is set to expire.
