2014 NBA Free Agency: Day 3 Commitments

It was a slow day on the free agent front today. There were a few reports of free agents agreeing in principal to terms with teams, but none of the big names. It seems that most are waiting on the decisions of Carmelo Anthony and the big 3 in Miami before deciding on the locations that remain.

The first agreement that was reported today was point guard Darren Collison who has decided to leave the Los Angeles Clippers for the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings signing Collison could be an indicator that they will not match an offer for Isaiah Thomas who is currently fielding offers from suitors that might be too rich for the Kings.

Oklahoma City Thunder defensive specialist and deep threat, Thabo Sefolosha, agreed to terms with the Atlanta Hawks.

As expected, Dirk Nowitzki has agreed to return to the Dallas Mavs for a friendly home discount.

Chris Kaman is still a very productive center in this league but was visibly frustrated in his role, or lack thereof for most of his time with the Los Angeles Lakers last season under then coach Mike D’Antoni. Kaman agreed to terms with the Portland Trailblazers.

This completes the reports of free agent movement in day 3, but be prepared for sparks to fly this 4th of July weekend as decisions from the big names start to come.
