Karina is 23 years old and is from Downey, California, which is a just 15 miles southeast of Downtown Los Angeles.

She attended Cal State University, Long Beach where she earned her bachelors degree in 2013, majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Marketing.

A less than healthy lifestyle during Karina’s early college years resulted in her becoming unhappy with her state of health and physique. In response, Karina turned to the world of fitness which triggered a strong and passionate love for this newly found lifestyle. She developed a strong work ethic in fitness which produced great results in her physique and improved her attitude towards life overall. This motivated her to push further and she continues that drive today.

Karina has turned that passion for fitness into a career as a fitness instructor where she can share the knowledge she has gained and motivate others to succeed.

Karina, the Lakers’ Fan

Lakers Q and A:

Favorite Lakers player:
“Kobe! His drive and dedication to his sport is so admirable. He’s a true athlete.”
Favorite Lakers memory:
“I followed the 2010 Playoffs really intensely because I was working at a pizza parlor where we showed the games.  I specifically remember the phones going off the hook and pizzas burning because the entire staff was gathered around the TV for the last minutes of Game 7. It was such an amazing victory and people were in the streets with banners and signs. It felt like the whole city was celebrating together.”
